When you verify a product code, we record the code checked, the time, and your approximate network address (IP) for security and anti-counterfeiting analysis. When you submit a counterfeit report, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, email, the product, where you saw it, and your comments.

How we use it

We use verification data to detect misuse of genuine codes (for example, the same code appearing in many places) and to protect authentic products. We use report details to investigate suspected counterfeits and, where you have given an email address, to contact you about your report.

Sharing

We may share relevant report information with the affected brand owner and their appointed investigators. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We keep verification and report records for as long as needed for anti-counterfeiting and legal purposes.
